Dear Friends:

We applaud you, members and friends of the Asian/Pacific Islander Caucus of DRUUMM. It has
been a relatively short time, yet you have shown such accomplishment, enthusiasm and dedication to your Asian/Pacific Islander community, your community of color, your Unitarian Universalist community, and the world beyond.

This second annual meeting entitled "Roots Hold Me Close; Wings Set Me Free" marks an important
milestone in A/PIC's development. I know that you will continue to embrace community in the spiritual
awakening of the divine as given from the ancestors to the children.

Please consider each flower herewith as a prayer of gratitude for the beauty, grace and strength reflected
in each of you. On behalf of your DRUUMM family, I wish you heartfelt congratulations and best wishes.

Embraced by roots and wings, I ask you to step gently and firmly in the garden and in the journey.

Ever Best,

Janice Marie Johnson
